Before you can start using Metamask, you'll need to install the extension and set up your wallet. Follow these steps to get started:
Install Metamask: Visit the Chrome Web Store and search for "Metamask." Click on the "Add to Chrome" button to install the extension.
Create a Wallet: Once Metamask is installed, click on the extension icon in your Chrome browser's toolbar and follow the prompts to create a new wallet. Make sure to set a strong password and backup your seed phrase in a safe place.
Access Your Wallet: After creating your wallet, you'll be able to access it by clicking on the Metamask icon in your Chrome browser's toolbar. Enter your password to unlock your wallet and access its features.
Now that you've set up your Metamask wallet, you can start using it to send and receive Ethereum and interact with dApps. Here's how to perform common transactions using Metamask:
Sending Ethereum
Navigate to the Send Tab: Click on the "Send" tab in the Metamask interface.
Enter Recipient Address: Enter the recipient's Ethereum address in the designated field.
Specify Amount: Enter the amount of Ethereum you want to send to the recipient.
Set Gas Fee: Adjust the gas fee according to your preference. Higher gas fees result in faster transaction confirmation times.
Confirm Transaction: Review the transaction details and click on the "Confirm" button to initiate the transaction.
